This temple of fine menswear treats its customers with an old-world care and grace:
cups of espresso are proffered during fittings, and owner Nicolas Kalatzis offers Zegna and Lardini, two separate made-to-measure suit lines (summer fabrics, $100–$495). Italian labels—Bogliolia, Zegna and, exclusive in the city, Lardini—are the emporium’s bread and butter, with cuts slimmer than their American counterparts.
A raffish tan or khaki Lardini wool blazer ($1,295), coupled with delicious handmade chocolate Lidfort shoes (from $895), would suit both pampas and palace.
Paul Smith, Kenzo and Y’s by Yohji Yamamoto also enjoy pride of place, alongside Nicolas’s own popular line of well-designed Italian-made cotton dress shirts, belts, ties and sweaters (all $265–$345).
